I’m not usually a fan of worship songs that are all about I, Me, My, Mine, but I want to remember this and testify to the goodness of God.
Lately, I have needed the Lord.
I’ve needed Him to help me focus, and to give me ability. To give me words and wisdom on the best way to do my work. To give me strength and breath and focus. He did it.
I’ve needed Him to help me keep selfishness at bay. At 11pm when my daughter is back for just one more thing, and I think I should be off the clock. To compromise with my husband. To be generous and gentle. To work when I don’t feel like it. To lead with joy in the spaces where I have a voice and a job to do.
I’ve leaned on His strength and mercy to keep me going when I wanted to give in to self-doubt. I’ve leaned on His love to help me love, and His goodness to remind me where I used to be, and all He did there.
I’ve needed His Word to be true, that He is always with us. That He gives us His Spirit first when He assigns us to do something. That He works in all things for good, and that He will finish the work He began.
I have needed the Lord, and He has been so good to me. Praise Him!
I need the Lord, today, tomorrow, and every day. I’m so grateful He is faithful. He’s promised to be with us, all the way Home, and we can bank on that. What a gift. Praise His Name!
Praise:
I got to speak at my first women’s retreat over the weekend! I can hardly believe it myself! It was an absolute blast, the women were so welcoming and joyful. I loved being with them. I felt so honored and grateful to get to be there. The Lord was so kind to me in the preparation, and in being there with the women!
The theme of the weekend was discipleship. Loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Loving our neighbor. Going into the world, making disciples, and teaching them God’s ways. It was incredibly special, and something I will look back on with joy for years to come. Praise the Lord, for all He did and will continue to do in our hearts.
It was especially sweet to get to sing songs I grew up singing, and remember all the people who have discipled me over the years. So many names. So much grace. God is the best, and His people have been a wonderful gift to me. My heart is so grateful!
Also, the tulips! I thought for sure the ice storm would kill the sprouts that had already broken through the ground, but I had to try. I covered them up, and hoped for the best. The beauty is stunning. I’m so glad! Thank you, Lord, for the simple joy of beauty.

I don’t know what month my books will be featured, but I’m incredibly honored to be chosen, and to have my work encourage the hearts of this group of readers.
